Actually, it wasn't that bad. Drinking that vile laxative was the worst part. I was pretty well knocked out for the actual procedure. Things are pretty clean in there so I won't need another one for 10 years. Works for me.
Stacey picked me up and we went to lunch. We had a very good conversation. I love that girl. Now I'm home and after this quicky blogging I'm going to bed. Can't goof off too much, tho. Carol's coming! Gotta pull this house together.

Good to hear of your clean bill of health! I've had 3 colonoscopies so I'm well-versed in the prep (the worst part) and the procedure. I've been quite awake and watched on a monitor each time. ( My gastroenterologist plays Vivaldi for me while he operates!) I have ulcerative colitis so I'm more prone to colon cancer than most-hence the frequent procedures. I'm in a real good remission right now, though, so I'm really enjoying it!
Wish mine were every 10 yrs! Every 2 for me- I'm actually overdue.
Wow. I'm so glad you're doing ok.
I woke up at 3:00 this morning. By the time I got to the gastroenterology clinic I was already pretty sleepy. I'm sure it didn't take much to knock me out. I woke up a couple times and looked at the monitor but it was at a bad angle so I quickly gave up and went back to sleep. The feeling was very pleasant. A person could get hooked on that.
Vivaldi, how nice! I had gall bladder surgery about 15 years ago. When they wheeled me into the OR I was pretty upset. There had been a schedule change and they decided to move me up 2 hours early. They kind of swooped in and zoomed me over to surgery. I couldn't see Jim before I went in. This upset me quite a lot. So, I'm scared and weeping and they wheel me in and what's this?! they're playing rock and roll real loud and hey cool ok this still sucks but I like these people.
Carol called. Their flight's been delayed. They'll be at around 8:30 or 9. Carol's bringing crab for dinner. Yeah, baby! I'll go to the store and get salad stuff. No, I'll SEND somebody to the store for salad stuff. I'm queen for a day.
Me too, I'm well versed in coloscopies, because I've already had a freaking polyp at the tender age of 45. I have to go in every 3 yrs because of that stinking polyp.
Also, my best friend suffers from ulcerative colitis! Luckily she is on some meds that have controlled it for the last 3 yrs and we are so happy because she's been near death a couple of times due to that terrible disease. I'm very happy that you're in remission.
Hey, here is something, a friend of mine told me just yesterday (isn't that sycnronicity?) that she's having a colonoscopy and she gets to take pills instead of drinking that nasty, $%#&%+ shit they make you drink as prep. I would way rather take pills than ever drink that stuff ever again. AND it's supposed to take care of the morning enema too.
What a nice conversation this is, eh?
