Thanksgiving

It was a very nice weekend. Thursday we were at bro Ken's for a fabu feast. Later big Ken and Bernie showed up. Bernie parked her sour self in the living room at first. I think I might have vibed her out of the room because after a while she went into the kitchen and stayed there for the rest of the evening. Jim and Ken were able to have a nice visit with their father once she wasn't there sucking up everyone's life force. She was the only downer of the day. The rest of it was quite pleasant and the food was great.
Friday we had the Lang Thanksgiving at Stacey's. Again, a great day with fun people and great food. We watched the third Harry Potter movie. Last night everyone came to our house. We had Drew's family, Stacey's family, Dede's family and Dad. The house was FULL! There were kids in the living room playing DDR, kids in our bedroom playing X Box, adults in the kitchen talking and eating and adults in the studio scanning photos.
Paige came back from Chicago at 9pm. She said the trip wasn't as much fun as it could have been. Her boyfriend, Rory, was sick the whole time so they didn't get to spend much time together. Oh well, there will be other trips. She's home safe so I'm happy.
Tree season has started. Strange people are tromping through the field. I'm doing a minimal Christmas this year which is a huge relief. I'm already looking forward to Post Holiday Happy Time.

The agony continues

Well, THAT was a shitty election. Right now my biggest pleasure is watching Olberman and reading the blogs that are exposing the election fraud. Someday I'll get back to a normal life. I'm fantasizing about waking up one morning to see on the news that all the connections have been exposed, Cheney has died of a heart attack, Rove has been hit by a bus and Bush resigns because he can't be president alone. I want this to happen before December 10th. Seriously, if anything happens to make these guys suffer in some big way I will not be able to contain my joy. They deserve the worst that nature can dish out.

What, you want me to be big about this? No way. For three days after the election I felt like someone had kicked me in the chest. They killed my country. Fuck them for making me feel like that. Then people started checking out the numbers and I felt better. Then Keith Olberman reported on it and gave me hope. Now I'm just waiting to see how it all plays out.
