Oops.

Today we went to lunch at Akina (a bit a of a diet breaker) and then went to Baskin Robbins (throw the diet to the ground, stomp on it, wire it with explosives and set it off). We were hungry.

BUT...

All this wanton casting off of three weeks of dieting was preceeded by a good, long Mt. Rubidoux walk. Jim and I went there this morning. It was his first time. We took Boz. Well, Jim took Boz.

Now I feel like we should go back to Mt. Rubidoux and do it again!

Isn't it great that ephedra is legal again? Yee-haw.

From 300,000 to 24,000? Must be all those gastric bypass centers that have opened up.

Well, whatever the numbers, it still sucks being fat.

So far I'm doing ok with reducing carbs and calories, as long as I don't have too many days like today. It's really not that hard. Exercise feels good and I enjoy it. I want to keep going with this. I'm recruiting other people to help me. I'm walking with Jim, Sherri and Jeff and e-mailing Mary for inspiration. She's also been working on losing weight. I'm hoping one of these days I can rope Stacey in for walks on Tuesdays.

At my doctor's appointment yesterday she said my fasting blood sugar was 111. That's just one point above normal. So, I wasn't in a big danger zone, just flirting with it. Still, that's good enough for me.
