The baby is 18!
Man, she has been waiting for this day since birth. Ok, kid, you're a legal adult now. Do your stuff.
We went to dinner at Joe's. It was the usual internal-damage-from-sushi stuff fest. Lindsay gave Paige a picture she had drawn of Eddie Bunny on a motorcycle. I gave her a car adapter for her iPod. I had included one of those inflatable japanese paper balls on top of Paige's gift. We had an unruly game of paper ball volleyball at our table. They gave Paige a free bowl of green tea ice cream and made her stand on a chair while the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to her. We all had a very good time.
Both my kids are legal adults!

Oh. Does this mean there's a new member of the family?
Cute picture of Paige, though!

You mean the snake?
Just before we left SoCo they had an Art Trails. I don't think they call it that anymore. Jim, Paige and I spent the day going around to different art studios. We took LOTS of photos. That picture was taken at 3D Edddie's place. He's a junk artist along with his wife and mother. We were chatting with them in their driveway when this tiny king snake goes slithering by. Edddie's wife reached down and grabbed it. She held it for a while and then handed it to me. I said, "Hey, Paige, ever held a snake before?" and before she could think twice I put it in her hands. Turns out she had never held a snake. She was a little bit stunned but she recovered. Jim took that picture and it's one of my favorites.
Hippo Birdie Two Ewes! Now that's a blast from the past. The first time I ever heard that was in your living room on Anna.
Yes, I think that is a most excellent photo of the birthday girl!
Happy Birthday, Paige!!!

Yeah, the snake. I should have realized that was an older pic of Paige -- goes to show how little I see her! They still have Art Trails, and they also have "Art at the Source" in June. And 3-D Eddie is a friend of Ernie's!
Doni, I can't even remember where I ever heard "Hippo Birdie Two Ewes" - I thought it was on a Birthday Card. (?) What's Anna? Did you mean Valerie Way?
N
Oops, that's right. Valerie. I think Anna is the next street over, isn't it? I think we were in your living room and the Hippo Birdie thing was in a birthday card that Michele got. The memory is a bit faint.
Well, it doesn't surprise me that Edddie is a friend of Ernie's. They could collaborate.
