Grill, baby, grill!

I bought a new Weber today. I haven't had a barbeque in over a year. I've been missing the flavor of singed meat. Tonight I grilled up some marinated London broil (an experiment), some chicken thighs and some salmon. Paige is doing Atkins and I'm trying to get back on my diet so it's good to have some cooked meats on hand so it's easy and quick to throw a meal together. We're set for the week.

Lindsay and Kyle are coming this weekend. Gonna do some ribs.

For some reason the hub never grilled once last year.

My fave bbq is anything veggie on a skewer. Yum. Oh and shrimp, and ummmm, beef. Oh yeah and chicken.

Yep. Throw anything on a grill and it's extra tasty. Bros-in-law, Ken and Scotty, are grillin' fools. I loooove grilled green onions and red bell pepper and red onions.

I was thinking about getting a fancier, gas grill but opted for something that's a little cheaper and didn't need a lot of assembly. My old Weber disintegrated when I moved.

Oh man, I'm so hungry right now. I'm at work. I had a Lean Cuisine for lunch and it wasn't enough. I'm ready to eat my desk.

Hey--

I haven't been blogging because they blocked it at work. Yep, even though it's the library. I can't explain it.

I bought one of those grill--um--well, it's a thing that you put vegetables in and it closes like a clam and you turn the whole thing over with all the veggies in it at once. It sat in my garage for years and we never used it. Finally I dusted it off and it's FAB! We're having to adjust our coal-to-food ratio (it takes a hotter fire than we usually make to cook a raft of veggies), but when it works, it's great.

Best foods in the veggie clam:

--sweet potatoes
--onions
--red bell peppers

I paint them with olive oil with pepper and garlic.
